Hypnosis

In the movies, hypnosis is often portrayed as entertainment or a control tactic — to get people to commit outlandish crimes or to fall madly in love for instance. Hypnotists are also often seen as wacky magicians who put people on stage and get them to either cluck like a chicken or act out in some silly way.

But in reality, hypnotic states have been used for healing since humankind has existed, but because hypnosis has been misrepresented for entertainment purposes and has been portrayed in the media as something mysterious and magical it has been viewed with distrust and skepticism by many. However, recent advances in neuroscience have enabled us to begin to understand what is happening when someone enters a hypnotic state and evidence shows that hypnosis is a useful tool to help patients and clients manage a variety of conditions.

Hypnosis can be seen as a waking state of awareness or consciousness. "Trance-like" states are part of our common human experience, such as getting lost in a good book, driving down a familiar stretch of road with no conscious recollection of the journey, when in prayer or meditation, or when undertaking a monotonous or creative activity.

It is then during this meditative state that suggestions are given, directed at the desired goals that you have outlined and planned with your therapist.

After experiencing hypnosis people have reported they were pleased to find they were awake, aware, and in control the entire time. Likening the feeling to the "twilight" state just before sleep. Deeply relaxed and comfortable, and fully aware of oneself and their surroundings.

Past Life Regression (PLR) is a gentle form of hypnotherapy that takes an individual back through time to their previous lives or incarnations by accessing memories and experiences that are normally hidden in their subconscious mind. Life today is so busy and so ‘noisy’ that these memories are usually concealed beneath the noise of everyday thoughts. A PLR session guides you out of the noise and into a deeply quiet and peaceful state where it’s far easier to locate the memories held within your subconscious mind.

Past Life Regression can help you to:

  • Reconnect with past life experiences.

  • Help you understand why you feel a deep connection with certain places.

  • See the origins of repeated patterns or habits in this lifetime that don't seem to fit.

  • Explore your past life and current "Soulmate" experiences.

  • Identify physical ailments you have, which may be remnants of past life experiences.

  • Explore unresolved emotions that have carried through into this lifetime, creating fears or beliefs or barriers, that you have been unable to explain.

  • Acknowledge and embrace the key lessons learned through those lives, resulting in a healing of issues that have been brought over into this lifetime.

  • Connect with your higher self or guides or sometimes past loved ones.

Generally, I take clients back into three past lives during a session. Whether you visit this many lives or spend more time focusing on one life will be decided by you. Many clients discover lives that they have either shared with people that they have a close bond with in their present life, or their soulmate family in a previous life, and in different incarnations. Some people visit the place between lives where they are given messages from guides or their higher self or insight into their existence or purpose. Others are drawn to certain places or countries that they immediately feel comfortable and familiar with. Each life explored is a journey and an adventure. Most clients have ‘Ahha!’ moments right then and for many days afterward as pieces of their picture begin falling into place.
